Seating Chart
Seating Chart: A visual diagram showing which guests sit at which table.
A seating chart is a visual diagram — usually printed and displayed at the reception entrance — showing the layout of all tables and which guests are assigned to each. Modern seating charts are often elegant signs grouped by table number or alphabetically by guest name. Seating chart, seating plan, and table plan all mean the same thing.
