Head Table
Head Table: A long table at the front of the room seating the couple and the wedding party.
The head table is the traditional setup: one long rectangular table — usually 12 to 20 feet — at the focal point of the reception room. It seats the couple in the centre with the wedding party flanking them, all facing the rest of the guests. Head tables are dramatic and traditional but require everyone to sit on one side, which can feel exposed and limits conversation.
