Floor Plan
Floor Plan: A scaled diagram of the reception room showing where each table goes.
A floor plan is a top-down scaled drawing of the reception space showing the position of every table, the dance floor, the bar, the head table, the cake table, and other key elements. It is different from a seating chart: a floor plan shows where things are physically; a seating chart shows who sits where. Most planners build the floor plan first, then layer guests onto it.
